Course Structure & Minimum Requirements
To ensure student success in our self-paced learning environment, all students are expected to follow the structured pacing guidelines outlined below.
Segment Duration
-
Courses are divided into segments (semesters).
-
Students must spend a minimum of 21 calendar days per segment.
-
For a two-semester course, this equals a minimum of 42 calendar days.
-
Daily & Weekly Limits
-
Students may complete only one Discussion-Based Assessment (DBA) per subject per day.
-
Students must complete 1–2 assignments per week, per course, as directed by their instructor.
At-Risk Status
-
Students who do not maintain weekly progress will be marked as “At-Risk”.
-
This status will be visible in the Learning Management System (LMS) and may require intervention.
Due Dates & Pacing
-
Due dates are assigned by module.
-
Despite modular deadlines, students are expected to maintain consistent weekly progress to stay on track.
Enrollment & Orientation
-
Year-Round Enrollment: Students may enroll at any time throughout the year.
-
All course start dates will align with the beginning of a week (typically Monday).
-
-
Mandatory Orientation:
All students must attend an orientation tailored to the self-paced program.-
Orientation may be delivered as a live session or through a self-guided online course.
-
-
Course Pacing Chart:
After enrollment, students will receive a personalized pacing chart from their teacher, which they are expected to follow throughout the course.
Weekly Requirements & Monitoring
-
Weekly Live Learning Lounges (LLLs) and DBA time slots will be made available to support student engagement and learning.
-
Parental Involvement:
Parents are expected to regularly check in on their child’s progress to ensure they remain on task and on track.
Scheduled Breaks (No Teacher Availability)
While students are welcome to continue working during scheduled breaks, teacher availability—especially for DBAs—is not guaranteed during the following times:
-
Winter Break
-
Ramadhaan Break
-
Eid Al-Adha Break
-
Spring Break
-
Teacher Orientation (first two weeks of August)
-
End-of-Year Break (June)
Plan ahead: If a DBA is due around these times, students should schedule it early to avoid delays.
Grading & Transcripts
-
Final Grades: Teachers will submit final grades into Gradelink at the end of each semester.
-
Official Records: Report cards and transcripts will only be issued by authorized personnel, such as the school Registrar.
