Sunday, June 1st, 2025, marked an incredible milestone. Not only did it signify the commencement of Al-Huda School’s 30th year, but it also celebrated a remarkable achievement for Islamic schools in America: we graduated the first cohort of Al-Huda Global School students to complete their entire high school journey – 9th to 12th grade – fully online! Twenty Al-Huda Global students walked the stage alongside twenty-eight of their Al-Huda School peers, making this the largest graduating class in Al-Huda history.
Our Al-Huda Global graduates joined us from various states: Maryland, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and one even participated online all the way from California! They proved what we’ve always believed: you don’t need brick walls to build strong leaders.
“Being a student at Al-Huda Global School has been an incredible experience, one that constantly reminds me that knowledge has no boundaries in bringing people together: Indonesia, Morocco, Palestine, Pakistan, Tunisia, Bangladesh, Egypt, and of course the U.S. This institution has united students and teachers from across the world with a shared purpose: to remember Allah, to grow, to learn, and to uplift one another. No matter where we are, stateside or overseas, Al-Huda Global has given us the opportunity to rise to the sky by striving for excellence.” – Nusra Khanam, Al-Huda Global Salutatorian 2025
“They say it takes a village to raise a kid,” said Imam Safi Khan, as he addressed the crowd of proud parents, friends, and family members. “But it takes an Allah-loving, Allah-fearing community to raise a righteous Muslim.”
Thank you to our community for your unwavering support over the past 30 years. Every du’aa, every donation, and every recommendation of our work—may they all weigh heavily on your scale of good deeds, no matter how small. It’s through your support and Allah’s blessings that the barakah in this community continues to grow. Today, we witness the fruits of a seed planted back in 1995–now a beautiful tree, rooted deeply in revelation, standing firm upon the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah and rising high to the sky, bearing many fruits, and offering shade and protection to all beneath its branches.
“As we rise, as our branches stretch towards college, careers, and dreams, don’t forget what holds you upright—the Islamic values your parents and Al-Huda have instilled in you, the moments of laughter, struggle, and everything in between, of living as Muslims in a non-Muslim society,” said Najma Karissa Arfa, Al-Huda Global Valedictorian 2025, as she addressed her crowd of graduating peers. “Rise, reach for the sky, but remember, your strength doesn’t come from how high you stand. It comes from how deep you’re rooted. And when your roots are planted in Islam, there is no limit to how high you can grow.”
Congratulations to our 48 bright, young Muslim leaders who walked the stage yesterday! We’re incredibly proud of your journey, and May Allah bless your endeavors wherever life takes you. Please keep our graduates and their families in your du’aa!
